Training Webinar on Implementation of Changes to the Processes Supporting the Energy Commission's Lists of Eligible Solar Equipment

Notice of Training Webinar on Implementation of Changes to the Processes Supporting the Energy Commission's Lists of Eligible Solar Equipment

As of May 16, 2017, requests to add new equipment to the Lists of Eligible Equipment, and inquiries regarding the lists, must be submitted directly to the Energy Commission at SolarEquipment@energy.ca.gov. The Energy Commission has updated the forms and processes for adding solar equipment to the Lists of Eligible Solar Equipment or revising existing listings. All changes are consistent with criteria outlined in the Guidelines for California's Solar Electric Incentive Programs (Senate Bill 1), Sixth Edition. The recent changes also incorporate updates to the Inverter List to address California Public Utilities Commission Electric Tariff Rule 21 requirements for Grid Support Utility Interactive (Smart) Inverters which becomes effective September 8, 2017. The new forms, procedures and processes are available on the Solar Equipment homepage of the Go Solar California website at: www.gosolarcalifornia.ca.gov/equipment/index.php.

California Energy Commission staff will host two webinars to inform stakeholders about new process to add equipment to the Energy Commission's Lists of Eligible Solar Equipment. During the webinars, staff will also discuss updates to the Equipment webpages on the GoSolar website and the display of information on the Energy Commission's Lists. The training webinars will each present the same information.

During each webinar staff will provide a detailed review of the new forms and process used to add solar photovoltaic (PV) modules to the Energy Commission's List of Eligible PV modules.

The Training Webinars will be conducted from
4:00 PM to 5:30 PM (Pacific Time)
on June 13, 2017 and June 20, 2017

Stakeholders are encouraged to submit written questions in advance of the webinar to SolarEquipment@energy.ca.gov and include "Lists of Eligible Solar Equipment Webinar" in the subject line. Stakeholders can submit specific questions regarding the solar equipment lists and processes, at any time, by emailing SolarEquipment@energy.ca.gov.
